The clip garnered immense attention from netizens across the world as with the sighting of the new moon, Muslims around the globe began the celebration of Ramadan, the most sacred month of the Islamic year.
This is not the first time for such incidents as footballers in the past found creative ways to be able to break their fast during ongoing matches.
Earlier in 2018, Tunisia’s goalkeeper twice went down with an apparent injury at the time when Iftar began, allowing his teammates to break fast.
