Twitter Deletes Veena Malik’s Tweets For Quoting Hitler Amid Gaza Massacre

ISLAMABAD: The micro-blogging site Twitter took action against Pakistani bold actress Veena Malik for quoting German dictator Adolf Hitler and the genocide of European Jews while condemning the Israeli bombardment in Palestine.

The 37-year-old Dirty picture actor posted a tweet to her 1.2 million followers stated ‘I would have killed all the Jews of the world… but I kept some to show the world why I killed them’.

Malik who aimed to post in favor of Palestinians shared the quote that was hard to digest for many since that includes the holocaust.

Following the outcry on the microblogging platform, the tweet got deleted as it violated its rules, and the former Bigg Boss contender also posted on official Facebook that her account was ‘compromised’. By Wednesday, all of the posts were gone from her account – which was later recovered.

Malik in another post mocked the missile defense system of the Jewish state. ‘#IronDome is doomed’ she wrote in another deleted post.

The tweet of the controversial actor is now even being used as a means to dishonor the Palestine movement as many activists claimed that ‘everyone supporting Palestine is anti-Semitic’.

Amid the whole dilemma, a US-based journalist Andy Ngô also posted that the Hitler quote attributed by a Pakistani actress appears to be ‘made-up but is nonetheless often quoted in some variation by anti-Semites to express hatred of Jews’.

According to the latest updates from the Palestinian Ministry of Health, at least 43 more Palestinians, including eight children have been killed in the recent attacks from Israeli forces. With the latest losses, the death toll in the Gaza strip has soared to nearly 200, including 58 children and 34 women.
