ISLAMABAD: A recent viral picture of Pakistan’s key minister has taken the internet by storm after he spotted sitting next to current Prime Minister Imran Khan in his early years.
The boy in the nostalgic picture is no one but Finance Minister Hammad Azhar, who seems to be a big fan of Imran Khan.
The official Instagram handle of Pakistan Tehreek Insaaf shared the historic picture after the appointment of Hammad Azhar as a new finance minister. The kid in this picture is now our Finance Minister – Hammad Azhar, the post captioned.
It further stated that when PM Imran started politics, he said that his voters are currently young but when they are eligible to vote, he’ll succeed. Not only him, but his support base is also achieving big milestones!
It is to be noted here that Azhar has been given the additional charge of finance ministry while continuing his duties as a minister of industries and production after decided to remove Dr Abdul Hafeez Shaikh in wake of the alarming inflation in the south asian country.
Hammad Azhar was born in the political Arain family in Lahore. His father, Mian Muhammad Azhar, was the governor of Punjab. The ruling party leader has done his early education from Atchison College and has been in Wellington College for his higher studies.
He was awarded a bachelor’s degree in Development Economics from the SOAS, University of London, and completed his postgraduate diploma in law from the BPP Law School. He has also been a member of The Honorable Society of Lincoln’s inn.
Hammad joined Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf in 2011. He contested for the seat in 2013 from the National assembly on the ticket of PTI but lost the election however he won the 2018 general polls.
