KARACHI: The Sindh government, in a bid to promote eco-tourism, has decided to introduce a range of entertainment facilities at two of the most famous beaches in the country’s largest metropolis.
As the South Asian country has great potential and attractive areas along the coast to develop tourism especially along with the megacity Karachi. Experts believe that with a burgeoning youth bulge and millions of unemployed youth, eco-tourism opportunities must be grabbed.
Prime Minister Imran Khan, in this regard, also reiterated that nature-based tourism offers excellent potential for boosting Pakistan’s revenue and employment opportunities.
On Saturday, the PPP leader and Legal Adviser of CM Sindh Murtaza Wahab announced the upcoming plan at Hawke’s Bay and Sandspit. Wahab also shared the development on his Twitter handle.

“The provincial government is considering launching various entertainment facilities for visitors, such as boating, jet skiing, and parasailing on both the beaches,” the caption reads.
The PPP leader wrote that “the Department of Environment and the Pakistan Navy would work together to promote eco-tourism in the region”.
Experts believe that the water sports activities in the country’s financial capital would provide a great respite for Karachiite’s besides garnering the attention of international tourists.
It is worth noting that the Karachi authorities banned bathing, diving, and swimming at the beaches in wake of increased drowning incidents owing to the monsoon spell and high tides in the Arabian Sea. A notification issued from the Karachi commissioner cited the ban that would remain in effect till Sep 15.
