KARACHI: Pakistani actor and model Hania Aamir, who is highly despised by the netizens for her bold stance on a number of things, this time sparked severe backlash when her clip appeared online showing her crooning to Hasan Raheem’s Arzu besides lying on the son of director Wajahat Rauf.
The 24-year-old shared a bizarre clip on her verified Instagram handle, in which she was spotted laying on Aashir Wajahat. The now-deleted post soon drew attention on social media platforms while other blogging platforms got flooded with all kinds of tweets amid the outcry.
Soon after getting viral on the internet, the Ishqiya actor then topped Twitter trends in the South Asian country in which netizens lambasted her for involving in a bizarre act with Wajahat Rauf’s son. Many even termed Hania indecent and vulgar as they demand an apology or clarification for posting such questionable content that ‘oppose our culture’. Amid all the outcry and moral policing, many even shielded the ‘bold star’, saying that she just posted it for fun.
Aamir then clapped back after removing the clip but since it was re-shared rapidly as the people’s wrath could not be avoided.
She then defended what she did and why she posted such content. Taking it to her Instagram account, she called out haters besides giving rationale to own such behavior which many find offensive. ‘I share my personal life in little bits and pieces here. Some appreciate. Some think I shouldn’t. I do it to connect with the people who love me on my social platforms. I am here spreading laughs and smiles’, she captioned the post.
Despite the clarification, Hania’s act of lying on top of Aashir irked many users who flooded social platforms saying that they lost all respect for the Dil Ruba actor. Many even took the opportunity to roast her for her wacky portrayal and not tendering any apology.
The campaign out of nothing turned into online harassment as she became the target of dank memers. A clip from the live feed of the actor was juxtaposed with a man holding his genitals who can be seen ejaculating on the screen of a smartphone. The doctored clip was then re-tweeted hundreds of times.

The 24-year-old model, who seemed chilled and never bothered by the public’s loathe, has now burst into tears. She then took to Instagram, where she shared a clip of herself in tears. The depleted actor wrote ‘Just another day surviving in a misogynist world where double standards have power over innocence and where coexisting with the difference of opinion is not a thing. Where a man trying to belittle a woman is applauded but if a woman does the same she is hated.’
Soon after all the backlash and online harassment, colleagues and some social media users were quick enough to reach out to her.
Amid all the blasting and campaign on social media, Hania garnered the support of many except ex-boyfriend Asim Azhar who took to her Twitter handle and shared a cryptic tweet, stating that his breakup with the actress was a narrow escape. Bach gaya Alhamdulilah, the caption reads.
