Pakistani singer-turned-actor Fawad Khan has been roped in to feature in Disney+ series Ms. Marvel, BBC entertainment journalist Haroon Rashid revealed Friday.
According to the post of Rashid, the 39-year-old superstar has been cast alongside Bollywood and Lollywood stars including Farhan Akhtar, Nimra Bucha, and Samina Ahmad while Pakistani-Canadian actor Iman Vellani as the titular hero – the first onscreen Muslim heroine in the franchise.
The Humsafar star reportedly appearing in one of the episodes of the new superheroine series, information on the IMDb page cited.
Entertainment journalist of British Broadcasting Corporation, Haroon Rashid, spilled the beans on his verified Twitter account. “Wow! Farhan Akhtar, Nimra Bucha, and Samina Ahmad are reportedly part of the cast too. Marvel yet to comment. Amazing if true,” the caption of his tweet reads.

Amid all the speculations, Marvel Entertainment and Fawad Khan have yet to confirm anything about the upcoming series.
Reports in news channel quoted sources said that the series initially announced in the year 2019 and was expected to release in the current year. As the primary cast was first confirmed in Dec. 2020 by Marvel Studio’s president Kevin Feige at the Walt Disney Company’s Investor Day presentation, further castings are reportedly on the cards.
According to the available information, Aramis Knight, Saagar Shaikh, Rish Shah, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, Matt Lintz, Yasmeen Fletcher, Laith Naki, Azher Usman, and Travina Springer along with others will feature in the series.
The series comprised of six episodes, and Oscar-winning Pakistani-Canadian filmmaker and activist Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy will direct the series.
The series reportedly revolves around Pakistani-American girl, Kamala Khan, who spends her early years in New Jersey. Khan dreams of joining her superheroes, such as Captain Marvel, to protect the world from the bad. With her unnatural ability to change her size and shape, she tries to make the world a better place.
