Right after the horrific accident of the PAF plane, Express Tribune reported that the pilot had ejected before the crash and is reported to be safe.
Later on, the content of the story was updated. The news of the pilots’ martyrdom was confirmed at the same day of the plane crash through the tweet of Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations DG ISPR.
Pakistan Air Force Fighter aircraft F16 was rehearsing for the 23rh March Parade flypast at the time of the incident. Air Headquarters has ordered a board of inquiry to determine the cause of the incident. The pilot named Wing Commander Nauman Akram embraced martyrdom in the crash. He was the only pilot in the aircraft.
