KARACHI: Pakistani actress, TV presenter and a wayward reputed artist Saba Qamar on Friday announced that she is no longer engaged to Australia-based Pakistani blogger and Instagram influencer.
The engagement was announced in the last week of March 2021 and called off in the first week of April 2021. It would also be important to mention here that though they knew each other but had never met in real life.
The Cheekh and Manto actress called off due to personal reasons however Azeem Khan was accused of sexual harassment by a Pakistani woman couple of days ago.
Taking it to a photo-sharing platform, the 36-year-old actress wrote, Hi Everyone. I have a very important announcement to make, due to a lot of personal reasons I have decided to call it off with Azeem Khan.”
We are not getting married now. Hope you guys will support my decision just like you all have been supporting me always, and I guess it’s never too late to realise the bitter realities!”, the announcement further added.
Earlier this week, the ‘couple’ was in headlines after they dropped a major hint prior to confirmation. Following the development, Ujala Khan warned Saba to reconsider the decision, citing that Khan had harassed her and many other women.
Azeem also responded to the statement by saying Saba didn’t mention the other side of the story. She hasn’t mentioned my side of the story and yes it’s my fault, he wrote in an Instagram story.
