Rawalpindi Woman who Threatened a Civil Judge Lands in Jail with Terrorism Charges

RAWALPINDI – A complainant in Rawalpindi got infuriated during the hearing in the courtroom when the civil judge granted bail to the main suspect in a cheque dishonor case.

According to the details, the woman started hurling abuses to the civil judge, Sardar Omer Hasssan, in the court premises soon after the other party got relief after which the woman got arrested on terrorism charges.

Sources said the reader of the judge approached Civil Lines police and informed the matter. It all happened when the honorable judge was present in the court premises and the case proceedings were in progress, he told law enforcers.

The statement further added that the woman threw a case file and her handbag at the judge beside openly threatening him.

The court proceedings remained suspended for nearly more than an hour amid the fear and panic in the court of law.

A senior official while speaking with the media mentioned that the women’s police arrested the infuriated lady and was shifted to the judicial jail for two weeks.

The woman was booked on charges of the Anti-Terrorism Act 1997-7 for hurling threats of dire consequences and resisting a government official from performing his/her duty.
