Meth – addict Gamer Shoots Four Family Members Dead in Lahore

LAHORE – In a gruesome incident in Punjab capital, a meth user who also used to be an addict of survival shooter game PUBG shoots dead four of the family.

The incident took place near the Alexandria Colony of Nawan Kot area. According to the local police, the mother of the shooter told him not to use drugs afterwards the PUBG gamer, Bilal, got mad and shot dead his sister, brother, sister-in-law, and a servant.

The deceased person succumbed to death after undergoing treatment at Jinnah Hospital however his mother, who also got injured during the incident, is said to be in a critical condition at the hospital.

The local law enforcers said that the Bilal, who divorced his wife days ago, has confessed to the quadruple murders after being arrested. A first information report (FIR) has been lodged and further investigations are underway.

Last year in July, Pakistan banned the PUBG game citing that it was addictive, a waste of time, and was posing a negative impact on the psychological and physical wellbeing of the youngsters. Later, the Islamabad High Court ordered the government to lift the ban on the online game.
